Design Projects
Here are my design projects that are done for school and some freelance projects.
They are mainly done one Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and possibly some illustrations from Procreate.
1. Menu Design
This assignment was to create an 8-page menu for a quaint, homey cafe in Paris. We were given the pictures and text as resources, but we had to come up with the overall design - colour schemes, typography and layout.
Colours wise, I went with a much more muted and earthy colour scheme that helped to show the down-to-earth vibe of the cafe. And for the typography, I paired a Sans Serif and Serif typeface that worked well together to create a sophisticated but warm look.
I created additional illustrations as well! Especially on page 6. I drew the weighing scale and bread using illustrator which added an extra and cozy feeling to the menu.

2. Magazine
This assignment was to create a music-themed magazine. We had to come up with one double-page spread but everything else is a single-page spread.
The general concept I went with was something darker to appeal to the young target audience. Using mainly black and red tones for my designs.
The name for the magazine is "Hit Play" which immediately reminds me of playing a song and it's what I want to communicate with the audience. It is simple and easy to remember, catchy for the audience!

3. Fashion App
This assignment was to design an app layout based on different themes. The theme I went with was Fashion!
I included different pages that would be seen in apps like Pomelo, Zara, etc. A homepage featuring the different collections, a member information page, a log-in page
and a few others.
Colours and fonts wise, I went with more muted brown tones to show a more classy and proper look since I wanted to app to be something catered towards more working adults.
The logo design is actually just a simple text-based logo but the "A" is made
to look like a hanger!

4. 6 Post Feed
This was a little Instagram layout that I designed for a church event. All the graphics were done by myself and I had used Adobe Illustrator!
The event was to welcome new freshman in Polytechnic! Since there were no orientation events, we wanted to provide a way for them to interact and get to know people.
So to better communicate this idea, the main theme was more vibrant and bright. With a warmer and louder colour scheme.
5. 9 Post Feed
This was a little Instagram layout that I designed for a church event. All the graphics were done by myself and I had used Adobe Illustrator!
This set of posts was used to introduce the different clans and our leading camp commandants for the year.
The theme was Sports! So we had different sports teams and colours assigned to the clans.
